Project: Contingency is a Fan-Made Halo Game being made exclusively for the PC on Unreal Engine 4
For Project: Contingency's June 2016 "Unreal" Update, we had created a spartan model for use as our player model. The model was made around the Unreal Engine 4 Default Mannequin
Much like the Third Person Rig, I was tasked with skinning and rigging the Spartan FP arms. The Arms consist of 15 finger bones, 3 major arm bones, and 2 twist bones per arm, and then a singular bone fort he camera, making a total of 41 bones. Along with skinning and rigging, i also had to create a way for the weapons to be placed in the hands consistently when animated. This was done by cloning CryEngine's methodology and using an extra "dummy" node that would align the position of the hand
In-Engine, my main responsibilities were integration and setting up the animation blueprint, neither of which are shown here.
